people STREAM Personal TV gives Local Authorities and their partners a unique way of providing older people with access to locally relevant and personalised information, online services and communications through their television.

The service is delivered over broadband through a digital set top box that gives older residents access to local information, as well as the free digital television channels.

A single button on the remote control takes the individual to a personalised menu of information and services. Each person gets a different experience, relevant to their needs, with unique recommendations.

STREAM Personal TV enables public agencies to personalise their messages and services to the needs of individuals:

PersonalSTREAM Personal TV gives each user a unique selection of information and services, based on their known needs or interests. The more the individual uses the service, the richer the experience becomes, with information and services recommended like Amazon. It’s harder to miss what’s relevant.
EngagingSTREAM Personal TV is video-rich. Programmes can be accessed entirely on demand, with the most relevant programmes presented to the individual when they first access STREAM.
 
InclusiveSTREAM Personal TV keeps people active and connected with friends and relatives. Email, noticeboards and directories of local events help to make people aware of what’s on and encourage them to remain socially active.
 
HelpfulSTREAM Personal TV includes a calendar and reminder service. Appointments can be added and optional reminders created that appear on the television.
